Why is it called “I KNEW THEN”?I KNEW THEN is all about that powerful moment when everything shifts—how you see yourself, love, others, and what’s possible in your relationships and life. It’s that deep clarity that changes everything. For me, it came after losing my cousin. In that pain, my purpose became clear. This space exists to help you find your own “I KNEW THEN” moments and step into a more empowered, loving life.
-
Are you a licensed therapist?Yes, I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Coaching, however, is different from therapy. Coaching is focused on growth, clarity, and moving forward—it’s not clinical or therapy-based. If you want therapy, I offer that through a separate platform and structure.
-
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?Coaching is forward-focused. It helps you clarify your goals, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and create habits that align with your values. Therapy focuses more on healing emotional wounds, processing past experiences, and addressing mental health needs. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is not a substitute for therapy.
-
Can I do both therapy and coaching with you?To maintain clear boundaries and ethical standards, coaching and therapy are separate services. If you’re working with me as a therapy client, that’s where our focus will stay. Coaching clients are a separate group, and 99% of the time, you can’t do both with me. If you’re unsure which path is right for you, I’m happy to help you figure it out.

Who is this coaching for? While some I KNEW THEN programs are open to everyone, I specialize in serving BIPOC communities—especially men of color through The Men’s Circle and 1:1 Coaching for Men of Color. These programs address the unique cultural and relational experiences of men of color. That said, all who are seeking deeper self-love and healthier relationships are welcome here.
